Magnificent Modern folk art tray Eames Era
Extremely rare! This folk art depiction of a young girl and her sheep is both artistry and story telling at its best. This tray is as utilitarian as it is beautiful, finished in a high gloss. I was immediately drawn to this piece, even though it was hiding under a huge stack and I could only see the colors. The era this piece came out of is referred to as Eames. This era began right after World War II. I have found nothing comparable on the market, there was a round piece on worthpoint but that meant it was an exclusive piece, markings on back.
